Who we are. "We", "us", and "the developer" mean PPVNX / Lichen Zhu, an independent game developer, publishing on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Scope. This policy applies to all mobile games we publish, including
8192 - 2048 Fall and Merge (also known as Tile.IO; Google Play package
me.alixleo.my8192, App Store bundle me.alix-leo.8192),
Number Chain 80 (me.alixleo.numberchain), and any game we release in the future,
unless that game links to its own separate policy. It covers the games themselves; it does not cover
the app stores you download them from or any third-party website this page links to, which are governed
by their own policies.
1. The short version
Our games are offline, single-player games. They work without an internet connection, never ask you to create an account, and contain no chat, messaging, or social features that transmit content. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, rent, or share any personal information ourselves. Everything you do in a game — progress, scores, settings, unlocks — is saved only on your own device. The only data that ever leaves your device is collected directly by the platform and advertising services listed in section 3, under their own policies, to show ads and report crashes.
2. Data we collect: none
We operate no servers that receive gameplay or personal data, no analytics backend of our own, no accounts, and no sign-in. Specifically, our games do not collect, request, or access:
- your name, email address, phone number, or any contact details;
- your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone, or clipboard;
- your precise or approximate location (we request no location permission);
- health, financial, biometric, or government-identifier data;
- messages or any user-generated content (the games have none);
- information about other apps installed on your device.
Game data (progress, high scores, settings, tutorial state, consent choices) is stored exclusively in the game's private local storage on your device. We have no access to it, no copy of it, and no way to identify you from it. Deleting the game deletes this data.
3. Third-party services that operate inside the games
Like most free mobile games, ours embed a small number of platform SDKs. These services are operated by their providers as independent data controllers under their own privacy policies; we do not control, and are not responsible for, their processing. We have configured them with data collection minimized to what their function requires.
| Service | Purpose | Data it may collect | Its policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (with Google User Messaging Platform) | Serving banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads in free versions; consent management | Advertising ID, IP address, coarse device and diagnostic information, ad interaction data | Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data in AdMob apps |
| Apple App Store / Game Center | App distribution, optional leaderboards and achievements on iOS | Handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account; we receive only anonymized, aggregated statistics | Apple Privacy Policy |
| Google Play / Play Games Services | App distribution, optional leaderboards and achievements on Android | Handled entirely by Google under your Google Account; we receive only anonymized, aggregated statistics | Google Privacy Policy |
Advertising consent
Where required by law (for example the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), a consent dialog provided by Google's User Messaging Platform is shown before any personalized ads are served; you may decline and receive non-personalized ads instead, and you can change your choice at any time from the game's settings where offered, or by reinstalling. On iOS, tracking permission is requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, the advertising identifier is not available to ad partners and ads are limited to non-personalized delivery. Paid or ad-free versions of our games, where offered, contain no advertising SDK activity.
Crash reports and diagnostics
Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash logs and performance diagnostics through their standard developer consoles (App Store Connect, Google Play Console) to help us fix bugs. These reports contain device model, OS version, and stack traces — never your identity — and users can opt out of sharing them entirely in their device settings.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
To the extent the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to processing by the third parties above inside our games: personalized advertising is served only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), collected before serving; non-personalized advertising, fraud prevention, and crash diagnostics rest on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in funding and maintaining free software. We ourselves process no personal data and therefore rely on no legal basis of our own.
5. Data retention
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Local game data persists on your device until you delete the game or clear its data. Data collected by Google or Apple is retained under their published retention policies, which we do not control.
6. International transfers
Because we collect no data, we transfer no data internationally. Google and Apple may process the data they collect on servers in various countries under their own safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses), as described in their policies linked above.
7. Security
All network communication performed by the embedded SDKs uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Local game data is protected by your device's standard app sandboxing. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot warrant the security practices of third parties, but our design — keeping all gameplay data on your device — means there is no developer-held copy of your data to breach.
8. Your rights and choices
- Delete your data: uninstall the game — all locally stored game data is removed. There is no server-side copy for us to delete.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID: Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads); iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (and Apple Advertising under Privacy).
- Withdraw ad consent: via the in-game privacy options where offered, the ad's "AdChoices" affordance, or your device's ad settings.
- Opt out of diagnostics: in your device's analytics/diagnostics sharing settings.
- Exercise legal rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, complaint to a supervisory authority): contact us below. Because we hold no personal data, most requests will be answerable immediately with confirmation that we hold nothing; for data held by Google or Apple we will point you to the correct controller. We respond within 30 days, or any shorter period required by applicable law.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we have no personal information about you to disclose, correct, or delete. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Ad personalization inside the games is controlled by the consent mechanisms in section 3; you will not be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right.
China (PIPL)
Our games do not collect personal information themselves. For versions distributed with advertising in mainland China, ad serving is subject to the applicable ad network's policy; the consent mechanisms described above apply where required by the Personal Information Protection Law.
9. Children
Our games are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — nor from anyone else. Advertising is configured in accordance with Google Play's Families policies and Apple's guidelines where applicable. If you believe a child has provided personal data through one of the embedded services, contact the relevant provider and us, and we will assist.
10. Permissions our games request
Our games request only the permissions required for the features described here (network access for ads, and vibration/haptics where the game uses them). They do not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage-browsing permissions. Any future permission will be requested in context, with its purpose stated, and refusing it will never block offline play.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time, for example to reflect new games, new store requirements, or changes in the embedded services. The current version is always at this URL, with the "Last updated" date above; posting the updated policy here constitutes notice. Material changes will additionally be noted in the affected game's store listing. Your continued use of a game after an update signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
