The budget ledger that balances itself

Connect your bank once and PBudget imports every transaction and sorts it into categories automatically — no spreadsheets, no manual entry. It watches for the things that throw a budget off and hands them to you for a quick look.

A budget only works if it’s current, and staying current by hand is why most budgets die. PBudget removes the manual step entirely: link an account through Plaid and every transaction flows in, categorized, deduplicated, and reconciled.

What’s left is the part that actually helps — seeing your real spend against real budgets, with the noise (transfers between your own accounts, duplicate charges, one-off spikes) already handled.

What it does for you

Four jobs, all automatic: import, clean up, budget, and show you where things are heading.

How it stays honest — and private

The numbers are only useful if they’re the real ones, and your financial data is only yours if it stays that way.

01

Bank-grade linking

Accounts connect through Plaid — PBudget never sees your bank password.

02

Encrypted

Your financial data is encrypted and never sold. The app makes money helping you, not mining you.

03

Real spend

Income and internal transfers are excluded, so your spend total is the true number.

04

Caught early

Duplicate charges and outliers are flagged before they skew your totals.

Who it’s for

Anyone tired of reconciling spreadsheets who still wants to actually understand their money — not just watch a balance. If you’ve bounced off heavier finance apps, PBudget is the one that keeps itself up to date.

How it’s built

Your money data lives on a home cluster, not a cloud vendor. PBudget runs on k3s behind Cloudflare, like the rest of PPVNX.

Bank connections go through Plaid; PBudget stores only what it needs to categorize and reconcile, encrypted. There’s no ad tech in the money path and nothing is sold.

One codebase ships to web, iOS and Android, so your ledger is the same everywhere and always in sync.

Questions

Is my bank login safe?

Yes. Accounts link through Plaid, the same connector used by major finance apps — PBudget never sees or stores your bank password.

Do you sell my data?

No. Your financial data is encrypted and never sold. PBudget is built to help you understand your money, not to monetize it.

How are duplicates and transfers handled?

Likely duplicate charges are flagged before they skew totals, and transfers between your own accounts are detected and kept out of your spend.

Can I set my own budgets?

Yes — build your own categories, set a monthly budget for each, and see spend-vs-budget and remaining at a glance.
