Turn live trends into scored AI app ideas

TrendWatcher watches what the world is searching for and building right now — across six live sources — and turns each trend into a concrete, buildable AI product idea, scored 1–10 with the evidence behind it.

Most idea lists are noise: hype, recycled listicles, and “AI for X” with nothing behind it. TrendWatcher works the other way around. It reads real, live signals — from Google Trends, Hacker News, GitHub Trending, Product Hunt, Dev.to and arXiv — and turns each one into a specific product you could actually build, with a target user, a core feature set, and a reason it matters now.

Every idea carries a 1–10 opportunity score, and every score is shown with its reasoning and its source signal — no black box. Browse the entire feed free, with no account. Sign in with Google, Apple or email only when you want to save the ideas worth coming back to.

What you get

Everything is built to answer one question fast: is this worth my time to build?

How the score works

One number, four honest dimensions. An idea only scores high when the whole picture lines up — real demand you can build for, at a moment when the field is still open.

01

Demand

How many people are actually searching, posting or building around this — measured from the live signal, not a guess.

02

Feasibility

Can a small team ship a real version of this? Data, model access and scope all count against it.

03

Timing

Why now — the specific shift (a launch, a price drop, a new model) that opened the window.

04

Whitespace

How crowded the field already is. A great idea with ten incumbents scores lower than a good one with none.

Who it’s for

Indie hackers, founders, product managers and engineers who want to spot the next AI opportunity early — and skip the ideas that only look good on the surface. If you keep a someday-maybe list, TrendWatcher is a faster, better-sourced version of it that refreshes itself.

How it’s built

TrendWatcher isn’t on anyone’s cloud. Like every PPVNX app, it runs on a home Kubernetes (k3s) cluster fronted by Cloudflare — no cloud provider, no monthly bill.

A scheduled job pulls fresh signals from all six sources, scores each candidate idea, and publishes the new feed — so what you see keeps up with what’s actually happening. The same codebase ships three ways: the web app at trends.ppvnx.com, and native iOS and Android builds wrapped from the same core.

The web app is free and ad-supported; the native apps carry no ads. Your data stays minimal — browsing needs no account at all, and signing in only stores which ideas you’ve saved.
